A Bridge Between Sanctuary & Adventure

Imagine the perfect day. It begins with sunlight sluicing through the blinds and opens up into limitless blue skies. The mountain air is crisp; the grass still sparkling or snow glittering with winter’s first light. The best part about today? You can make the most of it, all from your own front door. From land to water to powder to the 3.5 million acres of protected land that enfolds Snake River Sporting Club in boundless wilderness, there are no way stations between you and discovery. All points begin here.

Land Adventures

Set on an elevated river bench overlooking Wolf Mountain stands our 5-stand shotgun range. We shoot a hybrid of skeet and trap with three automatic clay pigeon throwers. Sharpen your visualization skills and broaden your repertoire of shots with straight away, and crossing trap clay targets. In addition to open shoots in the Summer, private instruction is available on site. Our instructors are qualified NRA Range safety officers and have completed their National Sporting Clays Association Level One.
Sportsmen and outdoor enthusiasts alike are invited to experience Snake River Sporting Club’s archery course. Featuring three-dimensional targets (including life-like elk, antelope, wolverine, and even a dinosaur), our course will help you hone your bow skills and refine your technique. All ages and experience levels are welcome. In addition to open shoots in the Summer, private instruction is available on site.
Snake River Sporting Club offers access to a trail system of mountain biking courses, providing a wide variety of environments to explore. In addition to trails flanking the property’s many riverbanks, pasturelands and elevated plateaus, the Club boasts numerous private trailheads into Bridger-Teton National Forest. Bikes are available for rent at the Clubhouse.

A network of trails winds through the property, offering a comprehensive introduction to the Wyoming landscape: river, pasture, alpine, and alongside the Tom Weiskopf Championship Golf Course. Private trailheads in the Bridger-Teton National Forest open up further doors into exploration.

A great game of tennis is a journey, not a destination. For players of all ages, playing on clay is the very heart of tennis. Tennis racquets and balls are all available at the Club Sports Shop. Members are encouraged to reserve time in advance.
Paddle tennis is played on a deck roughly one-third the size of a tennis court, surrounded by a 12′ high fence that allows players to play off the walls–just like racquetball and squash. The Club’s two courts are heated and well-lit so members can play year-round. On inclement days, take a rest in our adjacent warming hut. Racquets and balls are available in the Club Sports Shop.
Our fully furnished fitness center is centrally located in the beautiful Snake River Sporting Club Clubhouse. Featuring modern cardio machines, free weights, and even a climbing wall, our fitness center will help you maintain your active lifestyle 12 months per year.

Disc Golf offers a fun afternoon activity for the whole family. The object of play is to float a disc into raised baskets with as few throws as possible. The world-class setting adds an extra thrill to the challenge. Our 18-hole course meanders by cottonwoods and even onto an island in the Snake River. Frisbees are available at Beaver Pond.

Water Adventures

Whether you’re seeking the thrill of whitewater or the serenity of a lazy scenic float trip, the wild and scenic Snake River aims to please. Float trips embark from multiple river access points through the stunning stretch of Snake River Canyon adjacent to the Snake River Sporting Club. Get ready to get a little wet and a lot happy. Our Outdoor Pursuits guides can arrange private scenic float trips or enjoy our weekly wine and cheese float trip along the shores of the property. Our concierge is happy to arrange day trips through local outfitters as well.
Next to the 11th green and 12th tee of Snake River Sporting Club’s Tom Weiskopf Championship Golf Course is a small recreational lake. Bordered by a warm beach, the lake offers calm water ideal for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. Guests with a keen eye may be fortunate to spy the family of beaver that make the pond their home. Our kayaks, canoes and paddleboards are available for use at Beaver Pond and available for rent off property.

Snow Adventures

In winter, the Club’s championship golf course morphs into a Nordic skier’s playground. Ten miles of groomed trails invite skate and classic style cross-country skiers to glide over the snow-covered tracks and through scenic woodlands. For a deeper backcountry experience, venture into the National Forest via trails located in multiple places on the property. Our Outdoor Pursuits guides can arrange private scenic float trips or enjoy our weekly wine and cheese float trip along the shores of the property. Our concierge is happy to arrange day trips through local outfitters as well.
Located behind the Clubhouse and next to the sledding hill, our 100x 60 foot ice skating rink overlooks a panorama of river and mountains. Skaters hone their skill set while taking in one of the most visually stunning outdoor skate facilities in the region. The skating rink reopens every year in December.
Need to work on your tricks? Snake River Sporting Club’s golf course driving range doubles as a winter terrain park. Practice your moves on boxes and rails; or, if you’d like more speed, try setting off for an exhilarating ride on our sledding hill. Families and regular park riders are all invited to perfect their mountain skills right here. Tubes and sleds are available in the Club Sports Shop.
Ranked Best American Ski Resort of 2017 by Forbes Magazine, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort features world class ski and seasonal recreational activities for the whole family.
